The reception of citizens at the Prosecutor's Office is held on the basis of the application for the citizen’s reception, which, among other things, may also be submitted via the official e-mail of the Prosecutor's Office (info@prosecutor.am).

The application is considered and, on this basis, the reception is held by the prosecutor supervising the case or by the civil servant of the Prosecutor’s Օffice of the Republic of Armenia to whom the application is addressed. 

In case the reception is held by a superior prosecutor, the reception is attended by the prosecutor who, within his or her powers, conducts prosecutorial oversight, prosecutorial over the criminal proceedings related to the applicant or defends charges in court or resolves the application-complaint process.

When conducting procedural management and prosecutorial oversight or supervision, as well as when resolving the application-complaint process, the prosecutor, on his or her own initiative, may invite the citizen to a reception (hereinafter referred to as the invited person); in this case the invited person does not submit an application for reception.

After receiving the application in accordance with the prescribed procedure, if it is addressed to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia, the Division of Reception and Consideration of Citizens and Letters Review of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia. In case of other prosecutor's offices, the supervising prosecutor contacts the applicant by telephone or other means of electronic communication and agrees with the latter regarding the date of the reception and issues to be discussed.

Upon request, the lawyer or legal representative of the applicant or invited person may attend the reception.
