About the Laboratory

With a red ribbon cutting ceremony, RA Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan and YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan officially announced the opening of a YSU structural unit, the Legal Laboratory, in the administrative building of the Prosecutor General's Office.

Objectives and Functions of the Laboratory

The laboratory will serve as a "meeting place" for theoretical knowledge and practical work, ensuring:

  • Non-formal education: Organizing seminars, conferences, and discussions on pressing legal issues.
  • Development of practical skills: Practical exercises, master classes, and direct contact with acting prosecutors.
  • Scientific research work: Conducting in-depth research on legal issues by senior students.
  • International cooperation: Exchanging experience with talented lawyers and attorneys of Armenian descent operating in the diaspora.

Quotes

Anna Vardapetyan, RA Prosecutor General

"We have created a platform where senior students, in particular, will be able to perfect their theoretical knowledge, interact with prosecutors, and participate in master classes. The Prosecutor's Office strives to open its doors to the best. We have one criterion: to choose the best, to choose those with integrity."

Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, YSU Rector

"Only the combination of theoretical and practical knowledge can yield results. This is a completely different approach, where a YSU structural unit is located right within the Prosecutor General's Office, and students will have the opportunity to interact with prosecutors."

Chris Parnagian, Representative of the "Armenian Bar Association"

"The Association is proud to collaborate and support the implementation of this project. Within our ranks, there are many talented criminal and other field attorneys who are ready and able to work closely with the Laboratory."
