Aghvan Hovsepyan Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia 1998 – 1999, 2004 – 2013 He was born in 1953 in Yerevan. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Yerevan State University. Since 1974 he has been working in the RA Prosecutor's Office system as an investigator, senior assistant to the prosecutor, investigator of EIP, Head of the investigative division of the RA Prosecutor General's Office. He was the RA Prosecutor General during 1998-1999, then he was Deputy of the RA Prosecutor General, and during 2004-2013 he was the RA Prosecutor General. He has S. J. D, he is an honoured lawyer of the RA, he is also a State Councillor of Justice. By the decree the RA President, Aghvan Hovsepyan was awarded a medal of first degree for services rendered to Motherland for significant contribution in protection of legality and legal system. He was awarded a number of medals “Mkhitar Gosh” "For strengthening of cooperation" "For strengthening legality", "For services rendered to Motherland", "90th anniversary of Sardarapat", "Honoured employee of the RA MES". By the decree of the Presdident of the Russian Federation A. Hovsepyan was awarded "Fund of Count Sheremetyev" medal. |
