Prosecutor’s Office identified a number of violations in the process of acquiring a sports school owned by “Araratcement” CJSC
The Prosecutor’s Office of Ararat region has identified a number of violations in the process of acquiring a sports school owned by “Araratcement” CJSC.
In particular, within the scope of its authority of state (community) interests protectioin, an examination conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of Ararat region established that A.B., the former head of Ararat community, in violation of the law and without any legal basis, by a decision dated 12 December 2008, “restored” the grounds for the allocation of the 473 sq. m land plot occupied by the sports school located at 32 Kolkhoznikner street, Ararat, despite the fact that the above-mentioned property had never been recorded on the balance sheet of “Araratcement” CJSC and “Araratcement” CJSC had no right of use over the land plot.
Thereafter, L.H., General Director of “Araratcement” CJSC, submitted to the Vedi Territorial Division of the State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre under the Government a false certificate stating that the above-mentioned sports school in Ararat was owned by “Araratcement” CJSC and was recorded on the company’s balance sheet.
On the basis of the aforementioned false certificate and the unlawful decision of the Head of the Community dated 12 December 2008, on 22 December 2008 the ownership right of “Araratcement” CJSC was registered with the Cadastre Committee over the 301.20 sq. m sports school located at 32 Kolkhoznikner street, Ararat, and the 473 sq. m land plot occupied by it.
Having identified indications of an apparent offence in the course of exercising its powers of state interests protection, the prosecutor submitted a report of a crime to the Anti-Corruption Committee on 6 August 2026.
It should be recalled that the Prosecutor’s Office of Ararat region has also identified a number of violations in the processes concerning the privatization of “Araratcement” CJSC, the acquisition of 74.1 ha of land plots alienated to “Araratcement” CJSC, the acquisition of 457.79 ha of land plots provided under lease, the acquisition of the “Golden Key” resort owned by “Araratcement” CJSC, as well as the mining activities carried out by “Araratcement” CJSC.
Based on the identified violations, the Prosecutor’s Office submitted reports of crimes to the Anti-Corruption Committee and statements of claim to the competent court.
In addition, within the framework of proceedings for the confiscation of property of illicit origin, based on a motion by the Prosecutor General’s Office, “Araratcement” CJSC was, by a decision of the Anti-Corruption Court, transferred to the management and safekeeping of the Republic of Armenia.
