Prosecutor refered to court the case materials concerning 14 persons accused of giving and receiving electoral bribes

On 14 August 2026, the prosecutor referred to the Anti-Corruption Court, with an approved indictment, the case files concerning 14 persons accused of giving and receiving electoral bribes.

The criminal proceedings established that K.P., a supporter of the “Strong Armenia” alliance of political parties participating in the 7 June 2026 elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and acting on behalf of the same alliance, having reached a prior agreement with other supporters of the aforementioned alliance, including H.S. and L.V., intended to give electoral bribes to voters as disguised remuneration by arranging for them to be included in the electoral commissions of polling stations in the Gyumri community of Shirak region.

In particular, K.P., H.S. and L.V. proposed arranging for M.G., Ar.G., K.G., A.G., V.N., M.N., G.A., L.H., R.A., S.E. and M.G. to be included in the relevant precinct electoral commissions, on the condition that they participate in the elections to be held on 7 June 2026 and vote in favour of the aforementioned alliance, as well as ensure that their close relatives participate in the elections and vote in favour of the same alliance. M.G., Ar.G., K.G., A.G., V.N., M.N., G.A., L.H., R.A., S.E. and M.G. accepted the offer to receive electoral bribes.

On 6 June 2026, L.V., in accordance with the prior agreement, transferred AMD 30,000 in electoral bribes to each of the aforementioned persons.

During the preliminary investigation, public criminal prosecution was initiated against 14 persons: against 3 persons under part 2 of Article 219 of the Criminal Code, against 9 persons under part 2 of Article 218 of the Criminal Code, and against 2 persons under part 1 of Article 218 of the Criminal Code.

On 14 August 2026, the prosecutor referred the case files, together with the approved indictment, to the Anti-Corruption Court.
