Prosecutor General imposed disciplinary penalty of “reprimand” and “severe reprimand” on two prosecutors

On 15 June 2026, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against individuals holding autonomous positions at the Prosecutor’s Office of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts of Yerevan and at the Yerevan Garrison Military Prosecutor’s Office.

At its meeting held on 18 August 2026, the Ethics Commission under the Prosecutor General established that disciplinary violations had occurred in the actions of two prosecutors.

As part of the disciplinary proceedings, unjustified absences from court hearings were recorded in one case, while in another case it was established that the individual holding an autonomous position had failed to comply with the rules of conduct for prosecutors and the internal workplace disciplinary rules.

By decisions of the Prosecutor General dated 21 August 2026, a disciplinary penalty in the form of a “reprimand” was imposed on the individual holding an autonomous position at the Prosecutor’s Office of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts of Yerevan, while a “severe reprimand” was imposed on the individual holding an autonomous position at the Yerevan Garrison Military Prosecutor’s Office.
