Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan's Message on the Occasion of Prosecutor's Office Employee Day and the 108th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Prosecutor's Office

The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan has issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of July 1 – Prosecutor's Office Employee Day and the 108th anniversary of the establishment of the Prosecutor's Office.

The message states, in particular:

“Dear Prosecutors,
Dear Employees of the Prosecutor's Office,

I warmly congratulate you on the occasion of Prosecutor's Office Employee Day.

For more than a century, this day has served as an opportunity to recognize the work of prosecutors, reaffirm their role within the state system and highlight the image of the prosecutor in public life.

The work, the role and the image of a prosecutor are upheld through the daily efforts of each of you. Without pathos and without seeking recognition, you overcome both external and internal challenges every day, and it is difficult to say which of them is more demanding. I am convinced, however, that professionalism, integrity and the art of self-control are your weapons and shield on the path to overcoming these challenges.

Public expectations of prosecutors are exceptionally high. Prosecutors are prohibited from doing things that, for others, fall within the scope of rights and freedoms. They voluntarily choose this path of self-restraint, guided by the commitment to serve the public good.

I am pleased that these high public expectations are accompanied by steadily growing indicators of public trust in the Prosecutor's Office. According to a public opinion survey conducted in Armenia in February 2026 at the initiative of the International Republican Institute (IRI), 43% of Armenian citizens are either “fully satisfied” or “somewhat satisfied” with the work of the Prosecutor's Office. Compared to the previous survey, the level of public satisfaction has increased by 6 percentage points.

This indicator of public trust is the true measure of the effectiveness of a prosecutor's work.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia will continue its path as an institution distinguished by integrity, professionalism and stability, remaining faithful to its mission of upholding the rule of law, protecting state interests and restoring justice.

This year, the Prosecutor's Office marks the 108th anniversary of its establishment. Once again, I congratulate all of us on this anniversary and on Prosecutor's Office Employee Day, wishing you good health, professional success and unwavering determination for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia.”
