Land pots with a total area of 42 ha in Ararat region will be returned to Vedi community: the claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office for state interests protection granted

On 20 October 2025, the Prosecutor General’s Office filed a claim with the Anti-Corruption Court demanding to declare invalid the auctions through which six agricultural land plots, with a total area of 42 ha, located in the Goravan settlement of the enlarged Vedi community, Ararat region, had been sold.

By its verdict of 1 July 2026, the Anti-Corruption Court granted the claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office and declared the auctions of the 42 ha of land invalid.

Once the verdict enters into legal force, the Prosecutor General’s Office will submit an motion to the Cadastre Committee to register the ownership rights of Vedi community over the land plots.
