On September 15, 2025 the Prosecutor’s Office of Kotayk Region, within the framework of its authority to protect state (community) interests, filed a claim with the Anti-Corruption Court against Abovyan community and an individual with demands to declare the land auction invalid and apply the consequences of invalidity.

The Anti-Corruption Court, by its ruling of June 29, 2026, granted the claim of the Prosecutor’s Office of Kotayk Region. The ruling declared auction of a 916.6 square meter land plot of May 18, 2018, in valid as provided for Article 60 of the Land Code. As a consequence of the invalidity of the auction, among other things, the state registration of the ownership right to the land plot in the name of an individual was also declared invalid.

After the decision enters into legal force, the land plot with an area of ​​916.6 square meters and a market value of about AMD 80 million will be returned to Abovyan community of Kotayk Region.
