As a result of prosecutorial intervention, the 7th land plot located in the “May 28” Park of Sisian Community has been returned to the possession of the community

Within the scope of its powers to protect State (community) interests, the Prosecutor’s Office of Syunik region examined the documents concerning the allocation of land plots located in the “May 28” Park in the city of Sisian, Syunik region, to various persons.

As a result of the examination, it was established that the 0.0450 ha land plot located at 1/2-1 in the “May 28” Park of Sisian had been allocated to a private individual with the right of development in violation of the requirements of the law.

The Prosecutor sent a motion to the Head of Sisian Community requesting that measures be taken to terminate the development right established by the agreement concluded between Sisian Community and the developer on 14 August 2007.

Based on the motion, as a result of measures taken by the competent bodies of the Sisian Municipality, the development right registered with the Cadastre Committee over the 0.0450 ha land plot, with an estimated cadastral value close to its market value of AMD 845,000, located in the “May 28” Park of Sisian Community, was terminated. The land plot was returned to the possession of Sisian Community.

It should be noted that the “May 28” Park of Sisian Community in Syunik region occupies an area of 9,595.68 sq. m, and the land plots located within it were allocated to 17 persons under agreements granting development rights.

As a result of prosecutorial intervention, 7 land plots with a total area of 4,103.68 sq. m, allocated to 5 persons, have already been returned to Sisian Community. These are:

  1. a land plot with an area of 0.0450 hectares;
  2. a land plot with an area of 0.05 hectares;
  3. a land plot with an area of 0.0451 hectares;
  4. a land plot with an area of 0.08 hectares;
  5. a land plot with an area of 0.02 hectares;
  6. a land plot with an area of 0.0402 hectares;
  7. a land plot with an area of 0.13 hectares.

Work to return to the community the 13 land plots allocated to 12 persons is currently underway.
