Within the scope of its powers to protect State (community) interests, the Prosecutor’s Office of Syunik region examined the documents concerning the allocation of land plots located within the “May 28” Park in the city of Sisian, Syunik region, to various persons.

The examination established that the 0.05 ha land plot located at 9/2 Plot address within the “May 28” Park in Sisian had been allocated to an individual for development in violation of the requirements of the law.

The prosecutor submitted a representation to the Head of the Sisian Community requesting that measures be taken to terminate the development right agreement concluded between the Sisian Community and the developer on 12 June 2008.

Following the representation and the measures taken by the competent authorities of the Sisian Municipality, the registered development right over the 0.05 ha land plot located in the “May 28” Park of Sisian Community, with a cadastral value approximating its market value of AMD 938 thousand, was terminated by the Cadastre Committee. The land plot was returned to the possession of the Sisian Community.

Thus, to date, as a result of prosecutorial intervention, the following land plots located within the “May 28” Park have been returned to the possession of the Sisian Community:

1. a land plot of 0.05 hectares;
2. a land plot of 0.0451 hectares;
3. a land plot of 0.08 hectares;
4. a land plot of 0.02 hectares;
5. a land plot of 0.0402 hectares;
6. a land plot of 0.13 hectares.
