Within the scope of its authority to protect state (community) interests, the Prosecutor’s Office of Syunik region examined the documents concerning the allocation of land plots located within the “May 28” park in Sisian community, Sisian city, to various individuals.

As a result of the examination, it was established that a 0.0451 ha land plot located within the “May 28” park of Sisian city had been allocated to a private individual under a construction right, in violation of legal requirements.

The prosecutor submitted a motion to the Head of Sisian community demanding that measures be taken to terminate the building right agreement concluded between Sisian community and the developer on 18 May 2011.

Based on the prosecutor’s motion, as a result of measures undertaken by the competent authorities of the Sisian Municipality, on 20 July 2026 the Cadastre Committee of the Republic of Armenia terminated the registered construction right over the 0.0451 ha land plot located in the “May 28” Park of Sisian community, with an approximate market-based cadastral value of AMD 846 thousand.

Thus, to date, as a result of prosecutorial intervention, the following land plots located within the “May 28” park have been returned to the possession of Sisian city:

• a land plot measuring 0.0451 ha;
• a land plot measuring 0.08 ha;
• a land plot measuring 0.02 ha;
• a land plot measuring 0.0402 ha;
• a land plot measuring 0.13 ha.
