As a result of an examination conducted by the Prosecutor's Office of Lori region, initiated upon the motion of the Office the Head of Lori region, it was established that the areas of Hrant Matevosyan park in Vanadzor, leased and de facto occupied by 22 entities, were being used in violation of the lease agreements and for purposes other than those intended. As a result, the park had fallen into a state of disrepair.

Based on the results of the examinations, the Prosecutor's Office of Lori region submitted a motion to the Vanadzor Municipality demanding the termination of the lease and gratuitous-use agreements concluded with the above-mentioned 22 entities.

As a result of the prosecutorial motion, on 7 July 2026, the lease right of a legal entity to another land plot located within the park at 25/1 K. Demirchyan street, with an area of 0.06 ha and a cadastral value approximating its market value of AMD 6,307,000, was terminated. The land plot has been returned to the possession of the Vanadzor community.
