As a result of an examination conducted by the Prosecutor's Office of Lori region, initiated upon a motion submitted by the Lori Municipality, it was established that 22 entities leasing and de facto possessing land plots within Hrant Matevosyan park in Vanadzor had been using them in violation of the lease agreements and for purposes other than those intended. Consequently, the park had fallen into a state of disrepair.

Following the examination results, the Prosecutor's Office of Lori region submitted a motion to the Vanadzor Municipality demanding the termination of the lease and gratuitous use agreements concluded with the above-mentioned 22 entities.

As a result of the motion, on 4 June 2026, the lease right of a legal entity to another land plot located within the park located at 25-1/2 K. Demirchyan street, measuring 405 sq. m and having an approximate cadastral value close to market value of AMD 4.208 million, was terminated. The land plot has been returned to the possession of the Vanadzor community.
