On July 30, 2026, the Anti-Corruption Court granted the claim of the Prosecutor’s Office of Syunik Region against the former Head of Tatev community of Syunik Region Murad Simonyan.

After the verdict enters into legal force, AMD 4 million 454 thousand will be confiscated from Murad Simonyan for damage caused to the state, and the interest calculated on AMD 4 million 454 thousand will also be confiscated.

Within the framework of the authority to protect state (community) interests, having studied the evidence obtained in criminal proceedings, according to which the former Head of Tatev community, Murad Simonyan, provided the community-owned excavator to the LLC in 2018-2020 and embezzled AMD 4 million 454 thousand out of AMD 13 million 600 thousand received from its operation, the Prosecutor's Office of Syunik Region filed a lawsuit with the Anti-Corruption Court on March 31, 2026, demanding to recover from Murad Simonyan the amount of damage caused to Tatev community.
