Within the framework of the criminal proceedings concerning the terrorist act committed by Nairi Hunanyan and others on 27 October 1999, which were resumed on 27 December 2019, a number of evidentiary and procedural actions have been carried out from 27 October 2025 to date.

In particular:

Ø  Around ten questioning and additional questioning sessions have been conducted.

Ø  Requests for information have been sent.

Ø  Three instructions have been given to the operational body to carry out operational intelligence measures in order to clarify a number of circumstances of material importance to the criminal proceedings.

Ø  Documents have been examined.

Ø  With the permission of the supervising prosecutor, a number of classified documents have been seized and examined for the purpose of clarifying circumstances of material importance to the criminal proceedings.

Ø  Covert investigative actions are being carried out.

Ø  During the preceding period, the supervising prosecutor received citizens possessing certain information about the incident. The results of those meetings were forwarded to the investigator for the purpose of carrying out relevant evidentiary actions.

It should be recalled that, by the decision of the Prosecutor General dated 14 February 2024, the Investigative Committee was instructed to continue the preliminary investigation in the criminal proceedings.

The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
