Within the framework of its powers to protect state (community) interests, the Prosecutor’s Office of Syunik region examined the documents concerning the allocation of land plots to various persons in the area of the “May 28” Park in the city of Sisian, Sisian community, Syunik region.

As a result of the examination, it was established that the 0.0389 ha land plot located at the address 4 Land Plot, in the area of the “May 28” Park in the city of Sisian, had been allocated to a private individual with a development right, in violation of the requirements of the law.

The prosecutor submitted a motion to the Head of Sisian community regarding taking measures to terminate the development right agreement concluded between Sisian community and the developer on 27 November 2007.

Based on the motion, as a result of measures undertaken by the competent bodies of Sisian Municipality, the development right registered with the Cadastre Committee over the 0.0389 ha land plot located in the “May 28” Park of Sisian community, with an estimated cadastral value close to its market value of AMD 730,000, was terminated, and the land plot was returned to the possession of Sisian community.

It should be noted that the “May 28” Park of Sisian community, Syunik region, occupies an area of 9,595.68 sq. m, where the land plots located within the park were allocated to 17 persons under agreements granting development rights.

As a result of prosecutorial intervention, to date, 12 land plots with a total area of 6,011.48 sq. m, allocated to 9 persons, have been returned to Sisian community. These are:

1.     the land plot with an area of 0.0389 hectares;

2.    the land plot with an area of 0.0388 hectares;

3.    the land plot with an area of 0.03 hectares;

4.    the land plot with an area of 0.03 hectares;

5.    the land plot with an area of 0.05308 hectares;

6.   the land plot with an area of 0.0450 hectares;

7.    the land plot with an area of 0.05 hectares;

8.   the land plot with an area of 0.0451 hectares;

9.   the land plot with an area of 0.08 hectares;

10. the land plot with an area of 0.02 hectares;

11.  the land plot with an area of 0.0402 hectares;

12.  the land plot with an area of 0.13 hectares.

The work to return the 8 land plots allocated to 7 persons to the community is ongoing.
