Within the framework of its powers to protect state (community) interests, the Prosecutor’s Office of Syunik region examined the documents concerning the allocation of land plots located in “May 28” Park in the city of Sisian, Sisian community, Syunik region, to various persons.

As a result of the examination, it was established that the land plot with an area of 0.0388 ha, located in “May 28” Park in the city of Sisian, at the address Land Plot No. 5, had been allocated to an individual with a development right, in violation of the requirements of the law.

The Prosecutor addressed a motion to the Head of the Sisian community regarding the taking of measures to terminate the development right established under the agreement concluded between the Sisian community and the developer on 14 February 2013.

On the basis of the motion and as a result of measures taken by the competent authorities of the Sisian Municipality, the development right registered with the Cadastre Committee in respect of the land plot with an area of 0.0388 ha and a cadastral value approximating the market value of AMD 730,000, located in “May 28” Park of the Sisian community, was terminated. The land plot was returned to the possession of the Sisian community.

It should be noted that “May 28” Park in the Sisian community of Syunik region covers an area of 9,595.68 sq. m, where land plots have been allocated to 17 persons under agreements granting development rights.

As a result of prosecutorial intervention, to date, 11 land plots with a total area of 5,622.48 sq. m, which had been allocated to 9 persons, have been returned to the Sisian community. These are:

1.     a land plot with an area of 0.0388 ha;

2.    a land plot with an area of 0.03 ha;

3.    a land plot with an area of 0.03 ha;

4.    a land plot with an area of 0.05308 ha;

5.    a land plot with an area of 0.0450 ha;

6.   a land plot with an area of 0.05 ha;

7.    a land plot with an area of 0.0451 ha;

8.   a land plot with an area of 0.08 ha;

9.   a land plot with an area of 0.02 ha;

10. a land plot with an area of 0.0402 ha;

11.  a land plot with an area of 0.13 ha.

Work is ongoing to return to the Community 9 land plots allocated to 8 persons.
