Prosecutor General imposed disciplinary penalties of “reprimand” and “severe reprimand” on two prosecutors

October 13, 2026

On 28 September 2026, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against persons holding autonomous positions in the Prosecutor’s Office of the City of Yerevan and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Malatia-Sebastia Administrative District of the City of Yerevan.

At its meeting held on 12 October 2026, the Ethics Commission under the Prosecutor General considered the existence of facts constituting disciplinary violations in the actions of the two prosecutors to be established.

Within the framework of the disciplinary proceedings, it was established that the prosecutors had been absent from a court hearing without a valid reason.

By decisions of the Prosecutor General dated 13 October 2026, a disciplinary penalty in the form of a “reprimand” was imposed on the person holding an autonomous position in the Prosecutor’s Office of the City of Yerevan, while a disciplinary penalty in the form of a “severe reprimand” was imposed on the person holding an autonomous position in the Prosecutor’s Office of the Malatia-Sebastia Administrative District of the City of Yerevan, taking into account the fact that the same person had previously been subjected to a disciplinary penalty in the form of a “reprimand”, likewise for being absent from a court hearing without a valid reason.
