Based on the petition by the Prosecutor’s Office of Kotayk Region0, a lease agreement concluded in substantial violation of the law was terminated, and a 1550 sq. m. plot of land with a cadastral value of AMD 24.8 million was returned to the possession of the community.

Within the framework of a criminal proceeding investigated by the Investigative Committee, it was established that on September 27, 2017, Sh. S. participated in and was declared the winner of a tender organized for the purpose of leasing, for a period of 25 years, a 1550 sq. m. agricultural plot of land owned by the community. However, the second participant, A. Kh., had not actually participated in the tender.

At the same time, the materials of the criminal proceeding were received by the Prosecutor’s Office of Kotayk Region for the purpose of considering the adoption of appropriate measures to protect state interests.

Following its examination, the Prosecutor’s Office of Kotayk Region, taking into account that Sh. S.’s designation as the winner of the land-lease tender had occurred in substantial violation of the law, submitted a petition to the head of Nairi Community to take measures aimed at terminating the lease agreement.

Based on the petition, the lease agreement was terminated.

As a result of the state registration carried out by the Cadastre Committee on September 16, 2026, the 1550 sq. m. plot of land was returned to the possession of the Nairi Community of Kotayk Region.
