On 26 November 2025, the Prosecutor General’s Office filed a claim with the Anti-Corruption Court against Areni community of Vayots Dzor region and an individual, demanding to have the auction held on 14 April 2011 declared invalid and the consequences of invalidity applied.

By its judgment of 20 October 2026, the Anti-Corruption Court granted the claim filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office and declared invalid the auction of 14 April 2011 concerning a 5 ha land plot. As a consequence of the invalidity, and given that the property could not be returned in kind, the Court ordered the individual to pay compensation in the amount of AMD 5,251,000 to Areni Community of Vayots Dzor region.

Once the judgment enters into legal force, AMD 5,251,000 will be paid to Areni community.
