In the third quarter of 2026, more than AMD 50 million in damage was recovered from companies engaged in illegal subsoil use in Ararat region.

In particular, during the same period of 2026, seven criminal proceedings were initiated by the Investigative Committee concerning cases in Ararat region involving individuals and legal entities violating the requirements established by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia for the protection and use of subsoil and causing damage to land, using groundwater without a water-use permit, as well as engaging in illegal entrepreneurial activity.

Within the framework of the criminal proceedings, as a result of prosecutorial intervention, AMD 50,077,000 in damage caused to the State and the community was recovered.

The preliminary investigations in the criminal proceedings are ongoing.
