The Prosecutor's Office has discovered violations in the process of leasing a land plot of about 458 hectares to Araratcement Company. A lawsuit has been filed with the court
A number of violations were discovered by the Prosecutor's Office in the process of state registration of the lease of a land plot of 457.79 hectares to Araratcement Company.
The Prosecutor's Office filed a report on the crime with the Anti-Corruption Committee on June 16, 2026.
At the same time, based on the violations discovered in the process of state registration of the lease right, the Prosecutor's Office has filed a lawsuit with the Administrative Court to declare the state registration of the leasing right in the name of Araratcement Company for a plot of 457.79 hectares null and void.
It is worth mentioning that the Prosecutor General's Office also discovered a number of violations in the privatization of Araratcement Company, the acquisition of 74.1 hectares of land by Araratcement Company, and the Golden Key sanatorium owned by Araratcement Company. Based on the detected violations, the Prosecutor General's Office submitted criminal reports to the Anti-Corruption Committee and lawsuits to the competent court.
On May 5, 2026, the Prosecutor General's Office addressed a letter to the Government of the Republic of Armenia, proposing to discuss the violations in the company and the appropriateness of implementing proper administration in order to eliminate their consequences, including, for example, the advisability of appointing a temporary administrator in the company.
The Prosecutor General's Office is currently investigating the legality of the acquisition of other properties owned or leased by Araratcement CJSC.
