The entire park in Ararat village has been returned to the possession of Ararat Community

Within the authority to protect state and community interests, the Prosecutor’s Office of Ararat Region examined the documents concerning the allocation, under development rights, of plots of land located within the park area of Ararat village in the Ararat Region to three different individuals.

As a result of the examination, among other findings, it was established that on August 6, 2009 the former head of Ararat rural community had allocated a 2.000-square-meter plot of land located at 23/1 R. Vardanyan Street, within the park of Ararat village, to a private individual under a development right for a period of 99 years. The examination established that the plot had not been used by the developer for its designated purpose.

The prosecutor submitted a motion to the Head of the Ararat community requesting that measures be taken to terminate the development right agreement concluded between Ararat village and the developer on August 6, 2009.

As a result of the measures taken by the competent authorities of Ararat Community Municipality on the basis of the motion, on August 26, 2026 the development right registered over the 2.000-square-meter plot of land located at 23/1 R. Vardanyan Street in Ararat village, with a cadastral value approximating the market value of AMD 3.75 million, was terminated at the Cadastre Committee.

It should be recalled that, as a result of prosecutorial intervention, the development rights registered over the plots of land located at 44/1 and 44/2 Haghtanak Street within the park area of Ararat village, situated on 14 and 20 square meters respectively, had previously also been terminated at the Cadastre Committee.

Thus, as a result of prosecutorial intervention, the entire area of the park in Ararat village has been returned to Ararat community.
