Prosecutor submitted to Court criminal proceedings on giving and receiving electoral bribes in exchange for voting for the “Wings of Unity” Party in the National Assembly Elections
On 22 July 2026, the prosecutor, having approved the indictment, submitted to the Anti-Corruption Court of the Republic of Armenia the criminal proceedings concerning giving and receiving of electoral bribes in exchange for voting for the “Wings of Unity” Party.
The criminal proceedings, investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia, established that A.H., who served as the administrative head of the Artsvanik settlement of Kapan community, promised Al.H. that he would be included in the list of residents of Artsvanik eligible to receive monthly financial assistance of AMD 40,000 provided by a CJSC, on the condition that he participate in the regular elections to the National Assembly scheduled for 7 June 2026 and vote in favour of the “Wings of Unity” Party.
The prosecutor initiated public criminal prosecution against A.H., the former administrative head of the Artsvanik settlement and Al.H. for giving and receiving electoral bribes.
On 22 July 2026, the criminal proceedings materials, together with the approved indictment, were submitted to the Anti-Corruption Court.
