Land Plot No. 10 located in the “May 28” Park of Sisian community was returned to the possession of the community as a result of prosecutorial intervention

The Prosecutor’s Office of Syunik region, within the scope of its authority to protect state (community) interests, examined the documents concerning the allocation of land plots located in the territory of the “May 28” park in Sisian city, Sisian community, Syunik region, to various persons.

As a result of the examination, it was established that a land plot measuring 0.03 ha, located in the territory of the “May 28” park in Sisian city, at 2/1 Sisakan street, had been allocated to an individual under a right of development, in violation of the requirements of the law.

The prosecutor submitted a motion to the Head of Sisian community regarding taking measures to terminate the right of development agreement concluded between Sisian community and the developer on 13 June 2011.

On the basis of the motion, as a result of measures undertaken by the competent authorities of Sisian Municipality, the right of development registered with the Cadastre Committee in respect of the 0.03 ha land plot located in the “May 28” park of Sisian community, with an approximate cadastral value close to its market value of AMD 563,000, was terminated; the land plot was returned to the possession of Sisian community.

It should be noted that the “May 28” park of Sisian community of Syunik region occupies an area of 9,595.68 sq. m., where the land plots located therein have been allocated to 17 persons under agreements for the right of development.

As a result of prosecutorial intervention, to date, among the land plots located in the said park, 10 land plots measuring 5,234.48 sq. m. in total, which had been allocated to 8 persons, have been returned to Sisian community. They are:

  1. the land plot measuring 0.03 hectares;
  2. the land plot measuring 0.03 hectares;
  3. the land plot measuring 0.05308 hectares;
  4. the land plot measuring 0.0450 hectares;
  5. the land plot measuring 0.05 hectares;
  6. the land plot measuring 0.0451 hectares;
  7. the land plot measuring 0.08 hectares;
  8. the land plot measuring 0.02 hectares;
  9. the land plot measuring 0.0402 hectares;
  10. the land plot measuring 0.13 hectares.

The work on returning to the community the 10 land plots allocated to 9 persons is ongoing.
