Today, during the Government session, the Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan referred to the background of the attachment of the basement area and land plot located in building 7 on Aghayan Street, Kentron Administrative District of Yerevan City, to the State Property Management Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure restored to the Republic of Armenia by the reconciliation agreement concluded within the framework of the lawsuit for the protection of state interests.

On January 23, 2026, the State Interests Protection Department of the Prosecutor General's Office filed a claim with the Anti-Corruption Court against the "Expertise Center for Urban Development Programs" OJSC of the Urban Development Committee, a legal entity, a demand to recognize the real estate purchase and sale agreement signed on December 27, 2008 by the former Minister of Urban Development Vardan Vardanyan as invalid and to apply the consequences of invalidity.

Anna Vardapetyan reported that the "Expert Center for Urban Development Programs" OJSC Urban Development Committee's was involved as a defendant because it was the legal successor of the "Armenian Scientific Research Institute for Seismic-Resistant Construction and Structures Preservation" OJSC, which was a party to the purchase and sale agreement in 2008.

During the examination of the claim, a settlement agreement was proposed, which was approved by the Court's decision of April 14, 2026.

According to the settlement agreement approved by the Court and entered into legal force, on June 6, 2026, the ownership right of the Republic of Armenia was registered to the basement area of ​​​​building 7 on Aghayan Street, Kentron Administrative District of Yerevan City, N 97 with an area of ​​​​51.9 square meters and a land plot with an area of ​​​​0.08 hectares.
