The Prosecutor's Office of Ararat Region, within the framework of the authority to protect state (community) interests, examined the documents on the allocation of land plots located in the territory of Ararat town park to various persons.

The study disclosed, among other things, that A.B., the former Head of Ararat community, violating the requirements of Article 77, Part 1 of the acting Land Code at the time of the origin of the legal relationship, allocated the 0.2100 ha plot of land located at Aygi 6 in Ararat town with the right to development on March 16, 2008, for a period of 99 years, to Hrach Poghosyan, the father of Hunan Poghosyan, who held the position of head of the Ararat regional department of the RA Police at that time, who, in his turn, later donated the right to construction to his other son, Hovhannes Poghosyan.

The prosecutor has addressed a petition to the Head of Ararat community to take measures to terminate the construction right signed between the Ararat community and the constructer on March 16, 2008.

On the ground of the petition, as a result of the measures taken by the competent bodies of Ararat Municipality, on July 8, 2026, the registered construction right for a land plot located at Aygi 6, Ararat town, with an area of ​​0.2100 ha and a cadastral value of AMD 3 million 943 thousand, approximated to the market value, was terminated at the Cadastre Committee.

It should be recalled that on June 18, 2026, as a result of prosecutorial intervention, the Cadastre Committee suspended the registered construction right for a land plot located at Ararat town park area at Shahumyan 36/5 with an area of ​​0.1280 ha and an approximate cadastral value of AMD 2 million 403 thousand, and on June 29, 2026, the registered development right for a land plot located at Aygi 1/1 in Ararat town with an area of ​​0.0591 ha and an approximate cadastral value of AMD 1 million 109 thousand was suspended.
