Within the scope of its authority to protect state (community) interests, the Prosecutor’s Office of Syunik Region examined the documents related to the allocation to various individuals of plots of land located within the territory of the “May 28” Park in Sisian Town, Syunik Region.

In the result of examination, 0.05308 hectare plot of land located at the address 28/71, within the territory of the “May 28” Park in Sisian, had been allocated to a private individual under the right of development in violation of the requirements of the law.

The prosecutor submitted a motion to the Head of the Sisian Community requesting that measures be taken to terminate the development right agreement concluded on June 11, 2009, between Sisian Community and the developer.

Based on the motion, as a result of measures taken by the competent authorities of the Sisian Municipality, the development right registered over the 0,05308 hectare plot of land located in the “May 28” Park of Sisian Community, with a cadastral value approximating its market value of AMD 997.000, was terminated at the Cadastre Committee. The plot of land was returned to the possession of the Sisian Community.

It should be noted that the “May 28” Park of Sisian Community in Syunik Region occupies an area of 9595.68 square meters, within which plots of land have been allocated to 17 individuals under development right agreements.

As a result of prosecutorial intervention, to date, 8 plots of land with a total area of 4,103.733 square meters, previously allocated to 6 individuals, have been returned to the Sisian Community. These are:

1.     A plot of land measuring 0.05308 hectares;

2.    A plot of land measuring 0.0450 hectares;

3.    A plot of land measuring 0.05 hectares;

4.    A plot of land measuring 0.0451 hectares;

5.    A plot of land measuring 0.08 hectares;

6.   A plot of land measuring 0.02 hectares;

7.    A plot of land measuring 0.0402 hectares;

8.   A plot of land measuring 0.13 hectares.

Actions aimed at returning to the community the 12 plots of land allocated to 11 individuals are currently underway.
