As a result of prosecutorial intervention, another land plot located in the Hrant Matevosyan park area has been returned to the ownership of the Vanadzor community

As a result of examinations conducted with the mediation of the Municipality of Lori region, it was found At the Prosecutor’s Office of Lori region that 22 entities leasing and actually possessing areas of Hrant Matevosyan park in Vanadzor were using them in violation of contractual terms and for non-designated purposes. As a result, the park fell into a neglected condition.

Following the examinations conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of Lori region, a motion was submitted to the Vanadzor Municipality on termination of the lease and gratuitous use agreements concluded with the aforementioned 22 entities.

As a result of the motion, on June 25, 2026, the lease right of an individual over a 150 sq. m land plot located in the park, valued at AMD 1,577,000, was terminated. The land plot was returned to the ownership of the community.

The Prosecutor’s Office had previously reported that, as a result of prosecutorial intervention, land plots with a total area of 1,389.7 sq. m located in the park, with a cadastral value approximating AMD 35,133,000, were also returned to the Vanadzor community.

Work on terminating the remaining contracts is ongoing.
