The claim filed by the Department of State Interests Protection of the Prosecutor General's Office has been granted by the Administrative Court. The state registration of the ownership right of the Union of Legal Entities "National Olympic Committee of Armenia" to a 225.1 ha land plot in the Tsaghkadzor town of Kotayk Region, worth of AMD 36 billion 413 million 526 thousand, which is state property, has been declared invalid.

 

On December 29, 2005, the State Committee for Cadaster adjunct to the Government of the Republic of Armenia, based on Kotayk Marzpet’s decision No. 253 of December 23, 2005 and the relevant contract, registered the ownership right of the Union of Legal Entities “National Olympic Committee of Armenia” to the state-owned land plot of 225.1 hectares in the area of ​​the ropeway in the Tsaghkadzor town, taking as a basis Article 23 of the Law “On Amendments and Supplements to the Land Code of the Republic of Armenia”.

 

The court recorded that the land plot was provided to the Union of Legal Entities “National Olympic Committee of Armenia” after the Law “On Amendments and Supplements to the Land Code of the Republic of Armenia”, entered into force, therefore, by virtue of Article 23 of the said Law, it could not be considered that the ownership right of the said organization had arisen over that land plot.

 

After the judicial act enters into legal force, the ownership right of the Republic of Armenia to the 225.1 ha plot of land in Tsaghkadzor will be registered.

 

An appeal has been filed by the defendant against the judicial act.
