On January 21, 2026, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against 2 persons holding an autonomous position in the Sisian Garrison Military Prosecutor's Office and the Kapan Garrison Military Prosecutor's Office.

 

During the meeting held on June 10, 2026, the Ethics Commission under the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia considered the existence of a disciplinary violation in the actions of 2 prosecutors to be confirmed.

 

In particular, the prosecutors, being responsible for the legality of pre-trial proceedings, did not request a number of criminal proceedings from the body conducting the proceedings on time and did not issue relevant prosecutorial acts in a timely manner.

 

By the decision of the Prosecutor General of June 12, 2026, a disciplinary penalty of the type "reprimand" was imposed on a person holding an autonomous position in Sisian Garrison Military Prosecutor's Office. A less severe disciplinary penalty was imposed, taking into account the fact that the prosecutor, in addition to supervising criminal proceedings under his supervision, managed and organized the activities of the Kapan Garrison Military Prosecutor's Office (previously held an autonomous position in the Kapan Garrison Military Prosecutor's Office).

 

By the decision of the Prosecutor General of June 12, 2026, a disciplinary penalty of "demotion by one grade" was imposed on a person holding an autonomous position in the Kapan Garrison Military Prosecutor's Office.
