Approximately AMD 630 million, bank deposit interest, shares in real estate and a parking space will be confiscated from Armenia’s Third President Serzh Sargsyan in favor of the Republic of Armenia: the claim of the Prosecutor’s Office partially granted

On 3 July 2026, the Anti-Corruption Court partially granted the claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office for the confiscation of property of illicit origin filed against Serzh Sargsyan, the third President of the Republic of Armenia and persons affiliated with him.

Once the verdict enters into legal force, the following assets will be confiscated in favor of the Republic of Armenia:

  • A 38% ownership share in an apartment located on Teryan street, Kentron administrative district, Yerevan;
  • Full ownership of one parking space located on Teryan street, Kentron administrative district, Yerevan;
  • A 38% ownership share in another parking space located on Teryan street, Kentron administrative district, Yerevan;
  • Bank deposits amounting AMD 202,998,000, together with accrued interest amounting to AMD 74,716,000, as well as any additional interest accrued on both the principal deposits and the accumulated interest up to the date of actual enforcement of the verdict;
  • AMD 352,438,000.
