The RA Prosecutor General has discussed a number of issues of mutual interest with the Chargé d'affaires, ad interim, of the USA in Armenia

Today Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan received the delegation headed by the Chargé d'affaires, ad interim, of the United States of America in the Republic of Armenia, David Allen. 

 

Anna Vardapetyan welcomed David Allen to the RA Prosecutor General's Office, highly appreciated the cooperation with the US Embassy in Armenia in a number of areas and underlined that the US Embassy in Armenia is a reliable partner for the RA Prosecutor's Office; this is evidenced by the frequency and effectiveness of meetings between representatives of the RA Prosecutor's Office and representatives of the American side in 2025.

 

The U.S. Charge d'affaires in Armenia appreciated the effective cooperation with the RA Prosecutor's Office and discussed a number of issues of mutual interest with the RA Prosecutor General related to legal assistance, extradition in criminal proceedings, etc.

 

During the meeting, they discussed the procedure and the timing of returning the most part of funds receives from the sale of the private house located in Los Angeles owned by the family of the former Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, Gagik Khachatryan, as a property of illicit origin as a result of effective cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office and the competent authority of the United States in the framework of the criminal case initiated in Armenia.
