Under the leadership of Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of Tavush region for 2025 were summarized on February 14, 2026.
The event was attended by RA Deputy Prosecutor General Yeghiazar Avagyan, Head of Tavush region Hayk Ghalumyan, Prosecutor of Tavush region Gevorg Sargsyan, Secretary General of the Prosecutor’s Office Mher Aprikyan, the heads of the regional divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Security Service and the Investigative Committee, the prosecutors of the regional prosecutor’s office, etc.
Gevorg Sargsyan, while presenting the activity report of the Prosecutor’s Office of Tavush region for 2025, noted that in 2025, 2,095 criminal proceedings were initiated (in 2024 — 2,048 criminal proceedings).
During the reporting period, 431 criminal proceedings against 464 individuals were submitted to court with indictments approved by prosecutors (in 2024 — 348 criminal proceedings against 363 individuals).
In the courts, 349 criminal cases concerning 359 individuals were concluded (in 2024 — 382 criminal cases concerning 408 individuals).
AMD 54 million 986 thousand of the damage caused to the state under criminal proceedings was recovered.
Referring to the work carried out in the field of state (community) interests protection, the Prosecutor of Tavush region reported that during 2025, 4 immovable properties worth a total of AMD 162 million 345 thousand were returned to the Ijevan and Dilijan communities.

Anna Vardapetyan gave a number of instructions to the Prosecutor of Tavush region and the prosecutors of the regional prosecutor’s office aimed at protecting state and community interests, as well as preventing and detecting crimes in the region, including those committed by minors.
