On February 14, 2026, the activities of the Prosecutor's Office of Lori Region for 2025 were summarized under the leadership of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan.
The summary meeting was attended by the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Yeghiazar Avagyan, the Prosecutor of Lori Region, Movses Antonyan, the Secretary General of the Prosecutor's Office, Mher Aprikyan, heads of regional structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Investigative Committee, prosecutors of prosecutor's office of the region, and others.
Movses Antonyan, presenting the report on the activities of the Prosecutor's Office of Lori Region for 2025, stated that 3,832 criminal proceedings were initiated in 2025 (3,947 criminal proceedings in 2024).
During the reporting period, 770 criminal proceedings were submitted to the court with indictments approved by prosecutors on 822 persons (in 2024: 561 criminal proceedings on 604 persons).
In 2025, 587 criminal cases were completed in the courts on 641 persons (in 2024: 454 criminal cases on 490 persons).
The damage caused to the state by criminal proceedings amounted to AMD 1 billion 468 million. In 2025, AMD 71 million 892 thousand was recovered from the damage caused to the state by criminal proceedings.
Referring to the work carried out in the field of state (community) interests protection, Movses Antonyan informed that as a result of a petition addressed by the prosecutor to the Head of the Gyulagarak community of Lori Region in 2025 within the framework of criminal proceedings, 4 agricultural plots of land with areas of 0.13572 ha, 0.708749 ha, 0.45116 ha and 0.446412 ha, as well as AMD 1 million 305 thousand was returned to the community.
Anna Vardapetyan gave a number of instructions to the Prosecutor of Lori Region and the prosecutors of the prosecutor's office aimed at strengthening the fight against criminal subculture in the region, activating the protection of state and community interests in the region, and preventing and detecting crimes in the region.
