Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) during IAP General Meeting, which was held today in the Republic of Singapore.

The Executive Committee is IAP’s managing and administrative body. It is composed of President, Vice Presidents and 20 Members.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia became IAP member on January 1, 1999, and is being nominated as a member of the Executive Committee for the first time.

The Association was established in 1995 and it aimed to support prosecutors worldwide to uphold the rule of law and to fully implement the IAP standards for professional conduct.

Let us remind that about 450 participants from 80 countries arrived in the Republic of Singapore to participate in the Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors.
