The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia presented the details of the properties and funds that have been restored to the Republic of Armenia at the meeting of the Anti-Corruption Policy Council

On June 14, 2025, the Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan participated in the outgoing session of the Anti-Corruption Policy Council chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.

 

Among other issues of agenda, the activity carried out in the areas of investigation of criminal cases of corruption nature and confiscation of property of illegal origin was presented.

 

Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan informed that during 2024, property damage of AMD 8 billion 20 million was caused by completed criminal proceedings of corruption nature. Property damage of AMD 1 billion 163 million 514 thousand was restored.

 

There were 152 lawsuits related to the confiscation of property of illegal origin in the proceedings of the Anti-Corruption Court. Seizure was placed on about 1,500 real estate, 290 movable property, 400 rights to participate in legal entities, and on monetary means of AMD 540 billion. The total claim value amounts to about AMD 600 billion. 5 judicial acts have been issued, 8 reconciliation agreements have been concluded.

 

7 real estate properties, 2 movable properties have been transferred to the Republic of Armenia under reconciliation agreements, as of June 3, 2025, AMD 815 million 200 thousand and 50 thousand 720 euros. 1 judicial act has entered into legal force.

 

It was reported that about AMD 2 billion 785 million or AMD 7 million 69 thousand dollars were actually recovered through judicial acts issued in 2024 aimed at protection order to protect state (community) interests. In 2024, the ownership rights of the Republic of Armenia or the community were registered in 18 units of real estate with a cadastral value of about AMD 2 billion 785 million 511 thousand, approximated to the market value.

 

During 2024 the total value of properties returned to the state and communities based on prosecutorial acts amounted to AMD 107 million 341 thousand. 43 claims worth of AMD 207 million were granted by judicial acts that entered into legal force.

 

During the first half of 2025, the ownership rights of the Republic of Armenia were restored to 7 properties. The cadastral value, approximated to the market value, amounted to AMD 3 billion 365 million. During the first half of 2025, the ownership rights of communities were restored to 4 properties. The cadastral value, approximated to the market value, is AMD 275 million.

 

During the first half of 2025, 218 million was confiscated in favor of the Republic of Armenia with granted claims. During the same period, the following were returned to the communities based on prosecutorial acts: the kindergarten building of the Khashtarak settlement, the kindergarten building of the Dilijan community, and the stadium of the Martuni community.

 

Within the framework of its authority to protect state interests it was also reported that the Military Prosecutor's Office, restored 11 million 310 thousand dollars, equivalent to AMD 4 billion 462 million 706 thousand.

 

Since its establishment, December 5, 2024, AMD 17 billion 167 million have been received into the Unified Account of Recovered Funds established by the Government Decision.
