Today, Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, met the delegation led by Osvaldo Zavala Giler, Registrar (Secretary General) of the International Criminal Court, who arrived in Armenia in the scope of “Yerevan Dialogue” second international forum.

Viktor Biyagov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of Netherlands also participated in the meeting.

 Anna Vardapetyan greeted the Registrar of the International Criminal Court at the Prosecutor General’s Office and referred to the topic of prosecutors’ capacity building after ratification of the Rome Statute, as well as expansion of knowledge in the fields of international criminal law and international justice.

Osvaldo Zavala Giler, Registrar of the International Criminal Court, thanked Anna Vardapetyan for warm reception and highlighted that the efforts of the Republic of Armenia to fulfill the undertaken obligations are visible. 

During the meeting they discussed the opportunities of support by ICC matching the needs of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office.

They also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
