Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the RA, was elected as a candidate for a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) during the 59^th session of the Executive Committee held in Buenos Aires on April 8, 2025.

According to the Regulations of the International Association of Prosecutors, a member of the Executive Committee is appointed by the General Assembly for a term of 3 years.

The next meeting of the General Assembly will be held in September 2025 in Singapore, during which the elections of the members of the Executive Committee will take place.

The Executive Committee is the governing and administrative body of the IAP. It is composed of the President, Vice Presidents, and members.

It should be noted that the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia has been a member of the International Association of Prosecutors since January 1, 1999, and is being nominated as a member of the Executive Committee for the first time.

The Association was founded in 1995 and aims to support prosecutors worldwide by promoting the rule of law and ensuring the full implementation of the IAP standards on professional conduct.
