On December 23, 2024 the prosecutor sent to the competent court the criminal case on V. A. who committed attempted suicide because of disclosed information considered to be private secret.

It was found out in the result of the criminal proceedings investigated by the General Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee that V. A. had a romantic relationship with a female since August 2020, had obtained and kept her nude photos.   When their relationship ended in September 2023, knowing in advance that the female person’s mobile phone was with her mother, he sent her nude photos of the daughter to her mother.

In the result of the above-mentioned act, the female person, with the intention of ending her life, used a disposable razor to cut her left forearm.

On December 5, 2024, the prosecutor initiated public criminal prosecution against V.A. under Article 204, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (Breach of secrecy of private and family life, use, exploitation or reporting of the information constituting personal or family secret of a person without his or her consent or acquisition or storage of that information for the purpose of use), Article 162, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (Causing somebody to commit suicide negligently or attempted suicide by threat, cruel treatment or degrading the dignity of the person) and on 23 December of the same year sent the criminal case to the competent court.  

Notice:  A person charged with any crime shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code—by the judgment came into legal force.
