On September 9, 2024, the prosecutor approved the indictment regarding the person who embazzaled about AMD 29 million from 25 citizens of Aragatsotn, Lori and Ararat regions and submitted the materials of the proceedings to the competent court.

Under the criminal proceedings it was found out that:

• During the period May-August, 2022, H.T. visited Charchakis, Jamshlu and Avshen settlements of Aragatsotn region and introduced himself to the local residents as a person engaged in the stockpiling of agricultural products. Promising to buy agricultural products, cattle and small ruminants and pay for those products a few days later, concluded sale and purchase and loan agreements with 20 residents of those settlements, thus embezzled agricultural products, cattle and small ruminants the price whereof amounted to AMD 21 million 782 thousand.
• During the period September 27-October 12, 2022, H.T. visited dry fruit factory belonging to H.M. and located at Vedi city of Ararat region and introduced himself as an individual entrepreneur. Promising to pay later, the latter concluded a sale and purchase agreement with H.M. and embezzled dry fruits in the amount of 416 kg (AMD 1 million 497 thousand).

•  In the same way, he embezzled 66 kg walnuts, the price whereof amounted to AMD 127 thousand from a resident of Avan settlement of Aragatsotn region.

• During the period September 18-21, 2023, H.T. embezzled cattle and small ruminants the price whereof amounted to AMD 4 million 725 thousand from 3 residents of Tsaghkaber settlement of Spitak community of Lori region.

On August 5, 2024 the prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against H.T. under point 3 of part 3 of article 255, point 3 of part 2 of article 255 (2 counts) and part 1 of article 255 of the Criminal Code.

Detention was applied as a measure of restraint against H.T.
