On August 24, 2024, Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia paid a working visit to Tavush region and had a consultation in the seat of the Prosecutor’s Office of Tavush region located at Ijevan city.
Edgar Arsenyan, Head of the Department of Supervision over Legality of Pre-Trial Proceedings in the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, Armen Muradyan, Prosecutor of Tavush Region, governing staff of law enforcement bodies of the region and prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office of Tavush region participated in the consultation.
Armen Muradyan, Prosecutor of the region presented the results of the works implemented from January 2024 until August 2024 to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, pursuant whereof, 159 criminal proceedings were initiated based on illegal felling cases (135 proceedings during the same period of 2023), AMD 18 million 217 thousand has been recovered from the damage caused to the state (AMD 2 million 915 thousand during the same period of 2023), 179 criminal cases were submitted to the court (121 cases during the same period of 2023), 229 criminal cases were examined by the court and completed (127 cases during the same period of 2023), 15 motions were submitted to different state authorities under different criminal cases, wherefrom one encouraging and 17 reports.
The Prosecutor General of the Republic gave an assignment to the Prosecutor of Tavush region to start investigation in the scope of community and state interests protection regarding the land plots not transferred to citizens and legal persons and located at riverside of Aghstev river.
In the scope of the visit the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia and Grigor Elizbaryan, Military Prosecutor, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia visited the seat of the Prosecutor’s Office located at Dilijan city, where major renovation works are implemented for the purpose of placing a Military Prosecutor’s Office in the region.
During the two days’ working visit Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia visited also the library of Achajur settlement and talked with students of different age group.
The Prosecutor General visited several other settlements as well. The Prosecutor General, Military Prosecutor General and the Commander of № Army Corps of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia visited different subdivisions of № Army Military Formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.
