Anna Vardapetyan discussed a scope of issues of mutual interest with the representatives of Parliament of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Today on July 9, 2024, Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia met the delegation of the Standing Committee on Foreign affairs of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Jaap Frederiks, Charge d’Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia and Viktor Biyagov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands also participated in the meeting.

 

Anna Vardapetyan greeted the guests from the Netherlands in the Prosecutor General’s Office and highlighted that the meeting was a good opportunity to discuss the work implemented together and predetermine further cooperation directions.

 

As the best example of the cooperation with the Embassy, Prosecutor General of the Republic singled out the training on the development of communication skills and competences of all the prosecutors of Armenia (duration: 6 months) and highlighted the importance of the new training to be implemented with the Embassy in the future.

 

Fight against corruption, confiscation of property of illicit origin, domestic violence, fight against torture as well as issues related to other fields were discussed in the question and answer format. The Prosecutor General reaffirmed the abovementioned as well as the willingness to develop cooperation in the fields of the fight against illicit drug circulation, fight against the cybercrime and environmental protection.

 

The Parties discussed other issues of mutual interest.
