On November 20, 2023, the Prosecutor signed the indictment regarding V.A. member of the Council of the Republican part of Armenia, former deputy of the RA National Assembly and submitted it to the Criminal Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan with the materials of the proceedings.

Let us remind that under the criminal proceedings examined by the Investigation Main Directorate of RA NSS it was found out that V.A. member of the Council of the Republican part of Armenia, former deputy of the RA National Assembly illegally purchased ammunition and stored it in his actual place of residence, including prefabricated AKM assault rifle, 12 units of ammunition with the 7.62 mm (7,62*39) caliber envisaged for shooting with RPK light machine gun and corresponding weapons with rifled barrel, 2 bullets of 7,62 mm (7,62*54R) caliber envisaged for shooting with SVD sniper rifle, PK machine gun and corresponding weapons with rifled barrel as well as 34 bullets of 9 mm (9*19) caliber envisaged for shooting with ՝ “MP-446 (Viking)”, “Glock” guns and corresponding weapons with rifled barrel.

A public criminal prosecution was initiated against V.A. under part 1 of article 235 of the Criminal Code adopted on 18.04.2003.

The written undertaking not to leave was applied as a measure of restraint against V.A..
