On February 9, 2023, during the investigative operations conducted with the participation of the minor R.T., arrested in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan, V.P. the Senior Intelligence Officer of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Erebuni Division of the Yerevan Department of Police and M.E., the witness in the given criminal proceedings, sarcastic expressions were pronounced about R.T.'s Defense Council M.A.

After the end of the investigative operations, M.A., the Defense Council called the witness M.E. out of the investigator's office and demanded an explanation in the corridor. The witness M.E. denied the fact that he and other police officers pronounced sarcastic expressions about M.A.

In response, M.A. uttered profanity of sexual nature at the people who made such expressions about him. In relation to this, a quarrel began between M.A. and police officers. During the quarrel M.E., the witness, S.E., the Operations Deputy Head of Police Department of Erebuni and other police officers, not yet identified by the investigation hit M.A. on the head and other parts of the body of the Defense Council, causing physical injuries not containing features of light damage to health.

E.A., the other Defense Council of the minor R.T., who was also present in the incident, interfered with the fight, uttered sexual profanities at the present police officers. Afterwards the witness, V.P., the Criminal Intelligence Officer other police officers uttered profanities in response hit E.A. on the head and other parts of the body of the Defense Council, causing physical injuries not containing features of light damage to health.

On August 8 and August 9, 2023, the Prosecutor adopted decisions to initiate public criminal prosecution in criminal proceedings against witness M.E. (2 counts), S.E., Operations Deputy Head of Police Department of Erebuni and V.P., the Criminal Intelligence Officer under Clause 5 of Article 195(2) of the Criminal Code (physical impact by a group of persons).
