On April 7, 2026, the Anti-Corruption Court granted the claim of the Department of State Interests Protection of the Prosecutor General's Office.

The Department of State Interests Protection of the Prosecutor General's Office had requested the court to declare the sale and purchase agreement signed between the Mayor of Yerevan and an individual on August 9, 2005 invalid and to apply the consequences of invalidity.

Based on the decision the sale and purchase agreement for a land plot of 4935 square meters adjacent to Bagratunyats and Masis streets in Yerevan City was recognized invalid. Taking into account that it is impossible to return the above-mentioned land plot, as a consequence of the invalidity of the agreement, AMD 26 million 789 thousand will be confiscated from the individual in favor of the Republic of Armenia.
