The Prosecutor's Office demands that the former Deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Mkhitar Zakaryan, confiscate 12 real estate properties, about AMD 960 million, in favor of the state

The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for proceeding the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office on the confiscation of property of illegal origin.

 

The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the Prosecutor General’s Office has submitted a request to the court to confiscate from the former Head of Meghri community, former Deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Mkhitar Zakaryan, and his affiliated persons in favor of the Republic of Armenia:

 

  • 12 immovable properties, 3 of which are located in Yerevan, 1 in Jrvezh community of Kotayk region, and 8 in Meghri community of Syunik region;
  • 1 transportation means;
  • Participation in 10 legal entities;
  • AMD 957 million 64 thousand as the remainder of illegal income;

 

AMD 18 million 316 thousand amount of funds not supported by legitimate income of Mkhitar Zakaryan transferred to the bona fide purchaser or not possible to identify and confiscate.
