The Prosecutor’s Office demands to confiscate 11 items of immovable and movable property, as well as approximately AMD 3 billion 56 million from former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia Haykaz Bagmanyan in favor of the state

Another claim filed by the Prosecutor  General’s Office regarding the confiscation of property of illicit origin has accepted for proceedings at the Anti-Corruption Court.

 

The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the Prosecutor  General’s Office has submitted a claim to the court demanding the confiscation from former Commander of Army Corps No. N of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, former Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Haykaz Papik Bagmanyan and his affiliated persons in favor of the Republic of Armenia:

 

  • 7 immovable properties, whereof 6 are located in the city of Yerevan and 1 in Kotayk region,
  • 4 vehicles,
  • the market value of 5 vehicles,
  • participation in 2 legal entities,
  • a deposit of approximately AMD 1 million 290 thousand,
  • 30 bank bonds,
  • AMD 1 billion 544 million 254 thousand as the balance of illicit funds,
  • AMD 1 billion 511 million 965 thousand, the origin of which is not justified by the person’s lawful income, is considered illicit and has either been transferred to a bona fide acquirer or cannot be identified and confiscated,
  • the right to claim repayment of an outstanding loan in the amount of AMD 6 million 363 thousand.
