In 2025, 10.787 criminal cases against 11.457 persons were investigated and completed in the courts (in 2024 - 9,830 cases against 10,691 persons, in 2023 - 5,080 cases against 5,485 persons). According to the report of the Prosecutor's Office on activities for 2025, 957 cases were investigated and completed in the courts in 2025, or 9.7% more than in 2024. Out of 10,787 criminal cases investigated and completed in the courts in 2025 against 11,457 persons, 7,998, or 74.1%, were criminal cases of minor gravity against 8,136 persons (71%), 1,771, or 16.5%, of medium gravity against 2014 persons (17.6%), 855, or 7.9%, serious in relation to 1115 persons (9.7%) and 1115 (9.7%). Out of these criminal cases, 10,348 persons were convicted in 9879 cases (in 2024 - 9,224 persons in 8,660 cases, in 2023 -4,419 persons in 4,163 cases). In 2025, the number of people convicted for minor criminal offences increased by 1,028 or 15.5% compared with 2024, the number of people convicted of moderate crimes increased by 147 or 10.3%, the number of people convicted for grave criminal offences decreased by 29 or 2.9%, and the number of people convicted for particularly grave crimes, it decreased by 22 or 14.2%. During 2025, the Prosecutor's Office contacted the competent authorities, including the Minister of Justice and the Ethics and Disciplinary Commission of the General Assembly of Judges, with reports on the initiation of disciplinary proceedings against judges in specific cases. During 2025, the Prosecutor's Office submitted to the RA Minister of Justice 17 reports on bringing judges to disciplinary responsibility (11 in 2024), in 8 of which the judge was refused to initiate disciplinary proceedings, 3 cases are still under consideration, and in the case of 6 reports, 6 disciplinary proceedings were initiated, 5 of which were subsequently terminated, and in 1 case, the Ethics and Disciplinary Issues Commission of the General Assembly of Judges submitted a petition to the Supreme Judicial Council to bring the judge to disciplinary responsibility. As a result of the consideration of this petition, the Supreme Judicial Council issued a "severe reprimand" to the judge.
